The story of Texas' first college founded by the Methodists in Rutersville, Texas. Founded in 1840 by Martin Ruter, the co-ed college would soon proper and offer studies in the humanities and fine arts. Sam Houston would visit the college in the following years drawing such a crowd that the college auditorium could not hold the gathering and moved outside. This episode is complete with memoirs and memories of a long forgotten time.
