The Woodlands, October 1 – The Texas Patriots PAC, the largest grassroots conservative organization in Montgomery County and one of the largest Tea Party organizations in Texas, will host a candidate form for the three contested Woodlands Township Board of Directors positions. The candidate forum will be at the TWFG Training Room at The Woodlands Mall, 2nd floor upstairs from Panera Bread, Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at 6 p.m.

Texas Patriots PAC President Dr. Julie Turner said, “Our forum will cover the most important issues, facing Woodlands residents’ quality of life and future of The Woodlands. All candidates were invited. We hope that this debate will fully demonstrate candidates’ understanding of the issues facing Township residents, underscore differences between candidates, and, most of all, provide a solid basis for citizens to choose the best representative for Positions 5, 6, and 7 on the Woodlands Township.”

The moderator for the event will be Jon Bauman, Vice President of the Texas Patriots PAC.

The candidates, their occupation, and their position on incorporation of The Woodlands follow:

Rashmi Gupta (realtor; no answer on incorporation)

Walter Cooke (attorney; opposes incorporation)

Shelley Sekula-Gibbs (M.D. dermatologist, former Member of Congress; pro-incorporation)

Position #6:

Alan Richel (retired federal government employee; opposes incorporation)

Ann K. Snyder (incumbent) (educator and minister; on incorporation want to let people decide)

Louis Granados (retired oil and gas engineer; position on incorporation unclear)

Tom Chumbley (calls himself “organizational scientist”; position on incorporation euphemistic)

Bob Milner (businessman; pro-incorporation)

David Cassidy (physical therapist, realtor; on incorporation want to let people decide)
