The Flagship Hotel in Galveston was built in 1965 on the Galveston pier. It was seven stories and had 225 rooms. Hurricane Ike in 2008 severely damaged the hotel and it had to close. This week we are covering a serial killer out of Huntsville, Texas. Daniel Lee Corwin killed three women in the East Texas area and attempted to kill two others. He was finally caught when one of his victims survived and was determined to find her attacker.Fun Fact: The Texas State Penitentiary at Huntsville opened in 1849, one year after the state legislature created the penitentiary system.
