Dr James (Jim) Antoniadis joins us on the show today to talk about depression and depression treatment. We chat about the initial definitions of depression and how our understanding and treatment has changed with the rise of pharmaceuticals. This is an incredibly relevant episode for anyone that has been touched by depression either themselves or someone you know. Are pharmaceuticals the answer? Or are talking therapies effective? We also talk about people coming off anti-depressants and the kind of support that is needed.
