Today, I'm going to talk with you about BASTARDS - Bastardisation and Lucky Bastards.
My story - my learnings and my advice.
I am honored to be with you today at your event 10th Aspiring Manager award Dinner at The Brand New Four Seasons.
Today I want to tell you three stories from my life.
That’s it.
No big deal.
Just three stories.
The first story is about "necessity being the mother of all invention". My second story is about love and loss. My third story is about death.
But through Calisthetics, Meditation and focusing on what counts I am at a better place then I have ever been before.
As someone who has been shot, stabbed, kidnapped and diagnosed with an auto immune disease with an unforeseeable future, I can now say this to you.
No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share.
No one has ever escaped it.
And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life.
It is Life’s change agent.
It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
They somehow already know what you truly want to become.
Everything else is secondary.
Remember that they don't make statues to critics, and if you don't stand up for what you believe in, you will end up lying down for everything.
Lastly, my wish for you all is this one question?
"What is the point of being alive if you don't at least try to do something remarkable?"
Thank you all very much.
