Heather Downing and Heidi Groesbeck stopped by to talk about Fifth Grade at Horizon Prep. In Fifth Grade one of the main points of emphasis is the student taking responsibility for their homework and their assignments. Ms. Downing says "We want to grade what the student can do, not what their mom can do". The responsibility is on the student, not the parent. They say one way parents can help their student take responsibility is by changing the way homework is done at home. Instead of telling them to do their homework, ask them "When are you going to do your homewoek?"
