We are in the month of June, commonly known or referred to as youth month, a month set aside to commemorate and also look into challenges facing the youth and discuss possible ways of addressing those issues.
Amongst the challenges facing the youth, unemployment always strikes out at the top of the list, or inability to make good legal living. The issue has been on-going for quite some time now, added with another socio-economic challenges, life of the youth becomes twice as hard for many.
Now for the disabled youth the challenges can be twice as hard if not more. Before taking on common socio-economic challenges faced by the youth, they have to embark on a battle against challenges facing disability community first.
To learn more about being a youth from disability community, we have invited Mr Thabo John Sonkwala. The 31 years old Free State born was declared paraplegia after encountering a falling accident at work.
