UNESCO has just added Traditional Thai Massage to its Intangible Cultural Heritage list.

The legend goes that Monks brought these massage techniques and methods, which focus on directing blood circulation to the ares of pain, to Thailand over 2,500 years ago.

So, if you offer Traditional Thai Massage on your spa menu, now would be a good time to be educating people on the traditions and benefits of what is now offical recognised as a culturally significant massage modality.
