This weeks episode is with one of the pioneers of snowbooarding in the UK, and its not a term I use lightly... Stuart found snowboarding through skateboarding, at a time when snowboarding wasn't even really a thing in this country. Calling up Burton Snowboards in America (I wonder who he got through to) to find out where he could get his hands on a board, to setting up fanzines to help promote the sport, Stuarts influence has a longer tail than I realised.
I really enjoyed this chat, Stuart is great company, softly spoken and thoughtful, returning to riding with his son after a whopping 30 years break! I hope you enjoy this one...
As always, this podcast is presented by The Snowboard Asylum (or the TSA as it is often called) and would be impossible without their support. As usual the TSA is supporting snowboarders because that is what they have been doing since the beginning, if you need help choosing kit then don't shop online, get to one of their shops, chat to the staff who have a wealth of knowledge of equipment and what will be best for you, it makes such a difference to your snowboarding to have the kit that suits your way of snowbooarding, so go see the professionals and spend some time, it will be worth it, I promise. Tell them I sent you...
