A short story from older times about a little girl named Thorn. With no one in the village to take care of her after the deaths of Thorn's parents. Thorn becomes an unruly child and is very distant from everyone in the tribe. That's until a tribal elder named Grandmother Leaf who has also dealt with losses of her own decides to take action to mend Thorn's cold heart.
