I don’t think I say it enough.
You made my day on this cold
winter morning. You could be tucked
behind a fluffy cloud—instead,
you’re bold
with a glorious glow.
My eyes are happy to squint in
your presence. You warm
my face and ask for
nothing
in return.
You give energy
to my weary bones.
I beam on the country roads.
Thank you, Sun.

as I run.
