Thanksgiving: A Special Day for the Homeless

Listen Later

Thanksgiving Day is a day set aside to show appreciation, gratitude and to give thanks to God. In North America, this annual national holiday is marked by religious observances and a traditional meal including turkey. The holiday commemorates a harvest festival celebrated by the Pilgrims in 1621, and is held in the United States on the fourth Thursday in November.
I Thess. 5:17 says "...in everything give thanks." On November 22, many are looking forward to gathering with family and friends and having a traditional turkey dinner. It'll be a time of fellowship, laughter, food, and whatever else family traditions hold. Ponder these questions: “Where would you go if you are homeless and without family or friends?” “How would you choose to spend your day?” “With whom might you feast and enjoy a turkey dinner?”
Join us Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at 3:30 PM, PST,as Yield to the King Ministry shares with you how these questions were answered for the homeless. Call in to speak with the host (646) 668-2946
