Hi everyone - it’s Thanksgiving week in the US, 正值感恩節週，I'm thankful to you! For keeping our show alive and on air for 7 years!

Today we go through some Thanksgiving themed vocab!

🦃 1. Main Dishes 主菜類

Turkey 火雞 — “the bird”

* the bird（美國人常用的暱稱）
→ 不是指任何鳥，就是 火雞本尊

* roast turkey 烤火雞

* stuffed turkey 塞餡的火雞（肚子裡有 stuffing）

How to compliment it (don’t say “dry”)：
（不要說 dry，那是大忌！）

* “The bird is really tender.” 火雞非常嫩。

* “So juicy!” 很多汁！

* “The seasoning is perfect.” 調味非常好。

* “The turkey is really flavorful.” 火雞味道很足。

🥣 2. Sauces & Gravy 醬汁類

Gravy 肉汁

* thick gravy 濃稠的肉汁

* rich gravy 味道濃郁的肉汁

* savory gravy 鹹香的肉汁

How to describe “thick” 正確形容 “濃”

* “The gravy is really thick and smooth.”
肉汁很濃又順滑。

* “Perfect consistency.”
濃稠度剛剛好。

🥔 3. Sides 配菜

Stuffing 填餡（火雞肚子裡的麵包餡）

也可稱 dressing

* bread stuffing 麵包餡

* herb stuffing 香料餡

Mashed potatoes 馬鈴薯泥

* creamy mashed potatoes 奶香順滑的馬鈴薯泥

* buttery mashed potatoes 奶油風味的馬鈴薯泥

Cranberry sauce 蔓越莓醬

→ 酸酸甜甜，用來搭火雞的

Green bean casserole 四季豆焗烤

→ 超美式家庭料理

Mac and cheese 起司通心粉

→ 有些家庭一定會做

Sweet potato casserole 地瓜焗烤

→ 上面還有 棉花糖 marshmallows

🥧 4. Desserts 甜點

Pumpkin pie 南瓜派

（感恩節必備）

Pecan pie 胡桃派

Apple pie 蘋果派

🥤 5. Drinks 飲品

* apple cider（不含酒的蘋果香料熱飲）

* sparkling cider（氣泡蘋果飲）

* mulled wine（熱紅酒）
