Elijah went before the people and said, "How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him." But the people said nothing.
We’ve all had those moments when we just don’t know what to say. Those times can be extremely awkward as our minds struggle to find the right words. Often, it’s because we just don’t know how to respond to someone. Today, we will take a look in scripture at one such moment, when the children of Israel were silent. Why? They didn’t know how to respond to Elijah’s question tough question. It is a question still asked of the people of God today. “How long will you waver between two opinions?”
As we prepare for our new series “Reset” we need to ask ourselves this very question. What is a Christian and by extension the Church, supposed to look like? Can we live fascinated by this world, or must we live crucified to it?
