There was ugly politics in the church at Corinth; just as ugly as America's politics today. Some angry enemy was scouring Paul's every move, hoping to find a character flaw. And, of course, he finally found something (they alway do!): an innocent change of travel plans became "proof" that Paul was "not a man of his word." Ugly all right; but Paul's beautiful defense is wonderful instruction for us today and it is all about integrity.
