What if “eternal life” is more than just escaping hell? What if it’s the restored relationship your soul has been starving for?
In this episode of From Guilt to Grace, we open Galatians 4:4–7 and hear the gospel as adoption—God sending His Son to redeem us, and His Spirit to move us from fear to family, from slavery to sonship. Yet for many believers, the word “Father” feels complicated. Maybe your earthly father was absent, abusive, or simply imperfect. Maybe you were raised under heavy emphasis on wrath, with little teaching on love—leaving you with a faith shaped by fear more than affection.
But Jesus didn’t die merely to keep you out of hell—He died to bring you back to the Father. Drawing from John 17:3, this episode reframes salvation as knowing God personally: not a distant deity, but Abba—Father. The One who doesn’t fail, doesn’t move, and doesn’t adopt reluctantly.
This begins a new stretch of episodes with one goal: helping you connect to the love of the Father and truly live like a son or daughter—safe, wanted, and held.
This week’s encouragement: Pray to your Heavenly Father. Thank Him for adopting you into His family. Ask Him to help you know Him—deeply, steadily, and with growing confidence in His love.
