John Lilly had a dream. He knew dolphins were smart, maybe almost as smart as people, he knew that dolphins could communicate with each other, and he knew that dolphins sometimes mimicked human speech sounds. If they could communicate each other, maybe they could communicate with us. Maybe the could be taught to speak the English language. Maybe if THAT happened they could send a representative to the United Nations.
So that's what John Lilly set out to do. And THEN things got WEIRD.
