Milwaukee native Steven Hawley has taken a chance and let go of his old band Codebreaker for good only to emerge as the sole composer for his new project, Ice Island. Far from being cold, his vocals on new single "The General" are warm and soulful. As in the early days of Codebreaker, there is a lot of life, irreverence, concern, and humor. Music, dancing, and humor may do more to effect change than we give it credit to do socially. And "The General" couldn't have come at a better time!
