Listen Later

Join us for another engaging conversation in our Author's series titled: “Lessons from covid-19 2020, 26 stories: 1 Pandemic: Meet the bestselling authors.” In today’s episode, I talk with Cherolyn Davis. Cherolyn is affectionately known as a Women Empowerment enthusiast, she is passionate about collaborating, transforming, enhancing, and empowering women in the industry of entrepreneurship and small business. Some would even call her 'Every Girlfriend's Girlfriend.' Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she is the wife to Delfon Davis, and mother of a hilarious blended family of seven.

She has made an impact as one of South Florida’s most influential collaborators through her brand GIRLfessionals, Inc. which she founded in May of 2013. GIRLfessionals, Inc. was created to Give, Inspire, Resilient, Like-minded (women) and to provide support for them.

Cherolyn and the GIRLfessionals’ brand is dedicated to creating solutions and providing resources for aspiring women entrepreneurs and corporate professionals by connecting powerful influencers with women who are looking to grow and move up in the corporate sector or women who are eager to knock down the walls and barriers of getting them to the core of who they are and who they aspire to be. Cherolyn utilizes a strategic approach to empowering women with the influence of collaboration through monthly workshops, social events and yearly conferences. Her hope is for women to embrace their greatness, to pay it forward and impact other like-minded women to become a better version of themselves. It’s your time to shine and leverage your expertise, resources and relationships.

One of her favourite quotes is, “If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together” – African Proverb.

In today’s episode, Cherolyn shares the following nuggets:

1. To keep going in spite of everything, it's not easy, but keep going!

2. It's important to be humble and gracious.

3. Black women can successfully collaborate with each other. We truly can be our sister's keeper.

4. It is not going to hurt (a lifetime) if people fall off your journey, it's okay to let go.

Thank you for listening! Please subscribe and share if you know someone who is looking for a message of inspiration, joy, and hope!
