The 10-Minute Commute #63: Let Go, Let God - Sherrod Schuler

Listen Later

In today's 10 Minute Commute we encourage you to "Let go, let God." Here are three points to consider: First, Surrendering control: One of the key ideas behind "let go, let God" is the concept of surrendering control. It is a reminder that we cannot always control the outcome of every situation and that sometimes the best thing we can do is to let go and trust God. Second, trusting in God: "Let go, let God" is also about trusting in HIS divine plan. Third, finding peace and acceptance: Finally, "let go, let God" can help you find peace and acceptance in any situation. By releasing the need to control everything you may be able to let go of anxiety and worry and find a sense of peace in the present moment.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." This verse encourages individuals to trust in God and submit to his plan, even when they don't fully understand it.

Psalm 55:22: "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." This verse reminds us that God is there to support us and carry our burdens and that we can find strength and stability in him.

Matthew 6:25-27: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" This verse encourages us to let go of worry and trust in God's provision, knowing that he cares for us and will provide for our needs.
