On today's show we will be discussing how smart cities are leading the way for sustainability, improved quality of life, and how they can create new jobs and opportunities for the people living in them. However, on the flip side there are definitely some risks involved with this idea. Mainly risks to privacy and personal freedoms that need to be addressed before going down too far this path.

We start by introducing the concept of what a smart city means and how it differs from other cities. We will discuss the advantages for citizens, businesses, and the local economy as well as explore some of the challenges that come with creating a smart city.
