On this episode, The Yaad spoke with Minister of State in the Jamaica Ministry of Education, Youth and Information, Hon. Robert Nesta Morgan. On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, the ministry launched the 211 Helpline which is to provide an avenue for children to report cases of child abuse. The State Minister went details about the program and its difference with the other helpline programs that exist. Mr. Morgan also gave an update of repealing Section 24 of the Children Care and Protection Act which labels children as "uncontrollable"; and an update on the Adoption Act of 1958 which was last amended in 1982. The Minister was also given the opportunity to speak on the government's drive to get more children between the age of 12 to 18 vaccinated and how the ministry is engaging with youths organisations.
