David's rise to King of Israel was filled with danger and intrigue but he never forgot the lessons God had taught him as a young boy.  Psalm 23 is a personal declaration of God's protection, guidance, and provision through even the most difficult stretches of his life.  This same protection, guidance, and peace that God gave David are still available for us.  Be encouraged by this very familiar portion of scripture.
