In 1987, Jenny Pratt was brutally attacked while riding on a motorcycle with her boyfriend, Curtis Croft. The assault, carried out with a heavy wooden board by someone in a passing vehicle, left her in a coma and with severe brain damage. Police suspected local teenagers were responsible, while a private investigator believed that Curtis may have been the intended target due to his past dealings and cooperation with law enforcement. Although Curtis claimed to not recognize the truck or assailants, investigators doubted his story, feeling he knew more than he was revealing. Despite the challenges, Jenny miraculously emerged from her coma and began a long journey of recovery.
