I recently gave an in-depth creative writing workshop to an audience of 10 year-olds. They were amazing! Such good questions, and such attentive engagement. In this workshop, I discussed the main tenants of good stories:
Plot - what happens
Character - who is happens to, and who makes things happen
Setting - where it happens
This is an hour-long, in-depth, super detailed audio recording of that workshop. It originally aired on my YouTube channel, but I wanted to share it with you here, because I was very pleasure with how deep I dove into these aspects of the story craft.
