The start of the new year tends to bring pressure, doesn’tit? We are pressured to achieve more, to do more or to be more. Because of this, we make lists of goals to accomplish the feat. “I am going to lose weight.”“This year, I am going to get that promotion.” “This is the year; we clean and purge the house.” “I am going to be fluent in Spanish by the end of the year!”
Before the end of January, these goals have probably fadedinto the background of our lives. Resolutions become the catalyst for jokes. We laugh and with resignation stay the same. These types of resolutions make us think that we can change our lives from the outside in. However, healing andchange occur from the inside out.
