In Dakar, a bustling coastal capital city with no parks and few public play spaces, the beach is an obvious and popular hang out for young and old. But debate has risen about how the city’s rapid development is alienating its youngest and biggest demographic: children and teenagers, with parents asking, where can our children safely play?
