Poem 21: "THE"

- The sun rose today and with it a question arised -

Am I doing enough or are my efforts compromised?

Am I creating a soulful melody to be gladly heard?

Or just another noise in the din to be dispersed?

Each day poses its inevitable opportunity,

To be majestic or to succumb to mediocrity.

Going blindly with the flow or focusing on stability.

Rat-racing towards the flock or carving a niche identity.

They say, luck favours the brave,

Who doesn't follow the map when there's a new path to pave.

Isn't rising against the odds what we all crave?

Yet someone's a mighty master and someone's an ambitionless slave.

A violent dance the question does before me.

What am I choosing to be?

An inferior drone or the supreme Queen Bee?

Just an "A" or the "THE"?
