Sometimes you have to go backward in order to go forward.  We are starting the second phase of this series of movies, which takes us to the beginning of the story.  This second trilogy gives us the origins of many of the characters that were introduced years earlier.  It's pretty universally agreed that this is an inferior trilogy, but there are moments in each that really stand out.
