Today is Fellowship Friday - The Love Accelerator

1 John 1:7 says, "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin." 

To walk in the light is also to walk in love, and the indicator is that we have fellowship with one another. 

The shortcut to walking in the light is gratitude. 

If there are any strained relationships, how could you take steps toward restored fellowship today?

Let's ask God to help us walk in the light and in fellowship the way he desires.

Deuteronomy 11:18 says, " You shall therefore impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontals on your forehead."

The word for impress can also be translated as lay up, fix, commit to, or imprint. 

In today's communion we are asking God to help us impress his words on our heart and soul the way he desires. 

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

If an area of the body feel painful, tight, or restricted during a movement try giving it a very light touch with one of your fingers and then repeat the movement. Many times, it will instantly feel better.

 Lately I've been thinking about Colossians 1:17.

It says, "He is before all things, and in him all things hold together."

This is hard for our minds to understand that in him all things hold together.

In today's communion we are asking God to help us do something thoughtful today and to understand how he holds all things together.

Today is Work in the Flow Wednesday ( The Health & Time Accelerator)

Wednesday is a reminder to work in flow with the Holy Spirit... Our indicators are peace and joy.

Health is a frequency, and working with peace and joy changes the internal environment.

Think about how much time we waste worrying, complaining, feeling down, venting, etc.

What could we accomplish if we reinvested that time into productive work with God. 

Focus on the emotional state you do everything in today, and if possible, work deeply on things that will really make a difference.

 Ephesians 4:16 says, " From Him the whole body, fitted and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love through the work of each individual part."

Lately I've been thinking about the phrase, "fitted and held together," in reference to our bodies and the body of Christ. 

It's amazing to think about how God can fit together all of the parts of our bodies in a perfect way. 

And it's even more amazing to think about how he does this over time as our bodies grow and change. 

In today's communion meditation we are asking God to help us work in the flow with him today and to help us understand how he fits and holds us together.

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

All of your body is connected. Taking care of the smaller parts of your body impacts all of your body. For example, taking care of your feet benefits your whole body. A simple way to do this is washing your feet before bed and then massaging them with olive oil.

Today is Transformation Tuesday (The Family & Order Accelerator)

Tuesday is a reminder that the way to get to the next level in anything is to make the most of your current level.

Make it a goal to transform every environment you go into...

We can transform our spiritual environment by beholding the glory of God.

We can transform our inner world by renewing our mind to God's love and truth.

We can transform our home, workplace, etc by creating more order and bringing peace and joy into the environment. 

We can also transform difficult or adverse situations, through God's grace, power, and wisdom that's within us.

 In Acts 11:23 it says, " When he arrived and saw what the grace of God had done, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts."

This verse is very interesting, that he could see what grace had done in transforming the people. 

It is grace that creates real transformation in people. 

In today's communion we are asking God for his grace to transform us.

If you miss a workout or have a bad meal give yourself grace and get back on track.

Today is Memorial Monday - The Financial Accelerator. (You can learn more about the 7 Accelerators here)

Mondays are a reminder that a Memorial Portion, just one very small step of faith, can help you remember that God is with you and He's more than enough. One small step of faith can open up a supernatural flow of whatever you need. 

When Jesus multiplied the fish and loaves, it started with just a little bit of bread and fish. 

When the widow woman was down to her last meal Elijah had her make him a small cake first. 

If finances are tight... Give a few dollars.

If a relationship is strained... Do one small kind act for the person. 

If you are pressed for time... Give away a few minutes to someone else.

If something looks overwhelming take one small step in that direction.

 In Acts 14:26 it talks about the apostle Paul and his partner, and says, " From Attalia they sailed back to Antioch, where they had been committed to the grace of God for the work they had now completed."

I find the phrase "committed to the grace of God," very interesting. 

In today's communion meditation we are asking God to help us give a memorial portion that is pleasing to him today, and to help us understand this commitment to his grace. 

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

There is grace available today for movement, if you are struggling to get your workouts in try starting with a memorial portion. What is something very small you could start with to remember that God is supplying the grace, strength, and energy for exercise today.

Today is Speak Life Saturday (The Faith Accelerator)

Focus on speaking life today... With the words that you speak and the tone you speak with. 

Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 

Let your speech always be seasoned with grace.

 August is a time when it's hot, which means there may be an increase in pressure. God uses pressure at times to mature us, and it's important to remember that pressure can be therapeutic. For example, a massage therapist applies pressure to your body to break it free from restrictions. 

If you experience an increase in pressure, it's important to keep your eyes up looking for opportunities to do good. Something else that helps is going for walks with God. Take 10-30 minutes to go for walks with him. This season is a reminder to keep walking with God.

Yesterday we talked about standing firm.

1st Corinthians 15:58 says, "Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain."

In today's communion we are asking God to help us walk in greater fellowship and to be immovable and always abounding in his work, because we trust that our work will be rewarded.

Sometimes there is a time lag between putting in the work and seeing the results. If you are doing the right things keep going.

Yesterday we looked at the verse that says, "the truth will set you free."

Galatians 5:1 says, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."

The truth sets us free, but then we need to stand firm. We are to yield to or submit to the yoke of Jesus, but resist or stand firm against a yoke of slavery. 

In today's communion we are asking God to help us do something thoughtful today and to help us stand firm in the freedom we have in Christ.

Improving your mobility is improving your ability to move with freedom. Keep working on your mobility.

Lately I've been thinking about John 8:31-32 where Jesus said, " “If you continue in My word, you are truly My disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

In this verse the word for continue can be translated as continue, abide, remain, be present, endure, or exist permanently in.

If we will stay consistently in his word, it will set us free.

In today's communion meditation we are asking God to help us work in the flow with him today, and to help us continue in his word the way he desires.

Are you continuing in your exercise. Consistency is one of the most important factors.

 Psalm 12:6 says, " And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times."

God's word is like gold that has been refined or tested in a furnace.

We can trust in his word.

In today's communion we are asking God to help us create transformation today and to help us understand that his word is like gold that has been refined seven times.

Simply tracking yoru workouts or nutrition without changing trying to change anything else seems to accelerate results or help you break through plateaus.
