My guest today, Andi Matheny said this in my book: “Think about what even the shyest person is capable of doing under extraordinary circumstances. When we must act, we do.” In this episode, we discuss exactly how we do this.
I met Andi on a talk show I produced over a decade ago. You may recognize her from The Resident as Dr. Kelly Whitley, or maybe as Sara Rue’s mom on Hallmark’s "True Love Blooms."
We chat about her journey in becoming an acting coach, recognizing through the process that: first, everyone is running in their own race. Second, hosting gave her the permission to be herself. She even shares a couple of acting exercises with us that are helpful to tap into the power of being one’s authentic self.
