Keely Hardaway // As we continue in our Lenten series, The Affections of Jesus, we’re taking a closer look at the times in Scripture when we see Jesus emotionally moved. These moments of strong emotion are so human and, at the same time, reveal God’s heart for us.

This week, we see Jesus surrounded by a sea of people with varying levels of need and worldly importance. Among them are families bringing little children to be blessed by him. What about the them leads the disciples to respond so harshly? And what does Jesus’ indignation toward his disciples and welcome of the children tell us about God’s heart and God’s kingdom? Join us as we learn from Mark 10:13–16 and explore the value of children and childlikeness in the family of God.
