Kailey Newkirk // Why does God sometimes make us wait? One of the hardest (and yet most freeing) lessons in the Christian faith is that Jesus does not work on our human timelines. What we perceive as painful delays are often God's means of grace. We simply don't have enough information to see it. The hard part of this lesson is that faith in Jesus is not the same as faith in our agenda for Jesus. The freeing part is that, once we understand this, we stop wondering why he doesn't love us enough to answer our prayers, and we start recognizing the faith-building gift of waiting on the Lord.
