Elevated blood ancestors and ones ability to properly venerate them, is the African-Americans first line of defense against oppression, injustice, depression, hopelessness and many other imbalances and instabilities we face as a result of our individual and collective traumas and history experienced in the Diaspora. The understanding within the Yoruba spiritual system is that our ancestors have the recipes for our victory and are waiting for us to come and get them.
