Roundup as an herbicide:

• Chelates trace minerals
• Dismantles plant defenses
• Destroys beneficial microorganisms
• Promotes pathogenic organisms

Glyphosate, the chief poison in Roundup, has many deleterious biological effects:

• Depletes important minerals
• As an antibiotic: disrupts gut bacteria -> Studies with chickens, cows and pigs show death of beneficial bacteria and overgrowth of pathogens in gut
• Blocks the Shikamate pathway
• Damages microvilli and suppresses digestive enzymes

The most important thing you can do to avoid the probable damage from eatiing food laced with glyphosate is to eat organic.
