Welcome to episode # 224 of the the podcast celebrating the Alea Iacta Est gaming community. This is Tetsemi- and I am saying what ever Mkallah wrote for me! With me as always, is Alludra. (“Hey, AIE, I think you’re awesome”). And right over there, we have Mkallah (There are chai latte cupcakes in the guild kitchen). This week we are joined by special guests Lanctharus) who us here to talk to us about AIE in World of Warcraft. Welcome!

WoW –
Mk – Blackrock Foundry Normal and Heroic and a World boss Rukhmar became available this past week.
Mythic difficulty for Blackrock Foundry becomes available this Tuesday, February 10th.

WatcherDev (Blizzard) explains Blackrock Foundry tuning –
Lead Game Designer Ion Hazzikostas took to the forums to better explain Blizzard’s philosophy on Blackrock Foundry’s difficulty tuning. If you’ve been raiding it this week, you probably noticed it’s a little harder to progress than Highmaul was at the beginning. According to Watcher, Blackrock Foundry is not meant to make Highmaul immediately obsolete. They still expect you to fully progress through Highmaul before you can realistically tackle Blackrock Foundry. Normal mode Highmaul had an expectation of players coming in with heroic dungeon gear, but Blackrock Foundry is tuned for players in full raid gear (including the first few “easy” bosses). Later bosses are tuned with even more player item level in mind

WoW Stable at 10+ Million Subscribers –
Blizzard had their Q4 2014 earning call recently and announcing that WoW was still at 10+ million subscribers at the end of 2014. This is the same as the mid November announcement that listed WoW at 10+ million subscribers.

Alludra -And, in case you haven’t noticed- Love is in the Air – right now through February 16th, WOW’s annual Valentine’s Day event is in full swing. The Love is in the Air event offers a variety of rewards, including two mounts, two pets, and many achievements (One of which is totally impossible unless you have REALLY cool friends). Icy Veins has a great guide to you through everything you need to know to complete the event, which we have linked in the show notes.

Also, If you are a craft faire staff member, or are interested in the craft faire, there is a meeting at on February 13 at 10 pm server time. And if you want to help out with craft faire, whisper the mistress of the faire, Syreyne in game or DM her on the forums.
AIE Anniversary Events-
Tet- AIE’s official 8th anniversary is February 15, and plans are underway to celebrate the momentous occasion. Not only are we planning on having some huge guests for the show next Sunday, but the AIE officers and guildies are busy planning events for the celebration.
Nevermore has a meet and greet planned for Saturday 14, from noon to 2 server. Come celebrate AIE’s anniversary in mumble- learn more about the guild and your fellow guildies!
Sparrow is leading a PvP Event- the plan is to assault Ashran with a might, fury and humor seldom seen on the field of battle. A raid group will be started at 2pm server (other groups can be started as needed) and we will run the road, the events, and any rares that pop up in Ashran until 6pm server. If you have ever been confused or nervous about Ashran, this is the perfect opportunity to jump in and get your blade bloodied for the first time. If you are a long time pro this will be a great time for you as well, you can share your knowledge and expertise!
Please show your AIE pride and sport a guild tabard, feel free to drop guild banners as we go!
And remember, this is an all ages event, please keep mumble we will be representing our guild so play nice with the other (horde) kids in the playground. No need to sign up for this fun PVP event, just join AIELFG and send a message the day of the event, hop into mumble and ask for an invite, or whisper Sparrowhawk during the event.

Eve is currently in the middle of a huge mining operation. They just had one last weekend and have plans for another one the weekend of the 14 and 15th.

A new state of the game for February is out – news included a Revamp, so the game is not as overwhelming for new players, a Valentine’s day event, changes to Fast Travel, and news about issue #11, which will have us running up the floors of Orochi tower.

Star Trek online is celebrating it’s fifth year anniversary, and RattoZatto on the forums was kind enough to post fabulous info-graphic including voice actors, how many tribbles we have had trouble with, fleets in service, and all of the game’s milestones since 2010. And to mark the occasion, there are two additions to the Anniversary content that will run from January 29th through February 26th of 2015. So it’s been a weird time for for me in Lanc land.
So I have been playing WoW evangelist talk and attending a lot of RL WoW meetups
So I have a story. So I had been playing WoW a lot in the late/early part of the year and I got really emotional watching a lot of the cinematics.
I cried watching the Garrosh/Thrall cinematics
That damn Piano piece in Frostfire Ridge
So now that Lanc is finally 100 I am looking at resurrecting the greatest most epic raid team that has ever inflicted it’s brand of madness on AIE
Yes ladies and gentleman: Drunk with Power (DwP) will be coming back.
