Community

AIE Discord – AIE has joined the Discord wave and now has our own Discord server for text and voice chat. Server details are available on the Umami main page – https://umami.aie-universal.net/ under the first Bulletin named – AIE’s Discord Server. The Mumble server will still be available for raid teams and other large gatherings to use but feel free to try out the Discord voice chat and let the officers know what you think!

Are you looking for in game events? Hit the #events channel. Looking for folks going to Dragoncon, Blizzcon, or the local pizza joint? Hit the #meetups channel. Need a group in game? Try the #lfg channel and see who’s playing.

We have a new officer, SamanthaJane (SJ) has joined the WoW officer corps (she’s already a FFXIV officer) and will bring her amazingly friendly and upbeat attitude to the game while helping get all the new demon hunters and other classes corralled as things pick up in WoW. Many hugs and thanks to SJ joining us.

1. The ‘Agents of Yesterday’ expansion released July 6, is still in full swing! This reporter is enjoying replaying the new episodes again, but with new bridge crew members. As explanation, this reporter received a redemption code for being a 50th Anniversary Star Trek Las Vegas participant: the entire holographic bridge crew of the original series USS Enterprise as epic bridge crew members. This even included Yeoman Rand with her epic and famous beehive hairdo! The reward was courtesy of Cryptic Software.

2. As reported last time, the current release ’Temporal Cold War’ time-travel episodes came to an unexpected conclusion, not through gameplay, but through a blog backstory. Another backstory also concluded the end of temporal hostilities for the little-known Vorgon race: ‘Winter of Discontent’. A fascinating must-read and again, we are staying clear of spoilers.

3. There is a 20%-off star ship sale in the C-Store this weekend until August 15m 10 am PDT. If you are a player awaiting the perfect time to purchase that sweet pilot attack ship, that awesome, all-powerful dreadnaught or that stealthy, invincible science carrier, you simply must take advantage of this sale.

4. Make AIE Classis Starbase the crown jewel of the Federation! The AIE Classis’ Fleet Starbase is still seeking contributions of materiel and duty officers from all AIE fleet mates. Donations assist in building up the Fleet’s Starbase and other Fleet holdings to their full potential. Check out the Fleet holdings tab in the Fleet’s in-game menu.

5. Players are encouraged to check out the above news, backstories, patch release notes, UI and quality of life improxments, fixes, forums, commentary, etc., at the Star Trek Online website .
