Interested in doing 8 man content in FFXIV and don’t know where to start? Durus has an ongoing spreadsheet to help organize groups. Contact him in AIE Discord in the #ffxiv channel to get access, or update the spreadsheet with your availability if you already have access. And don’t forget, the AIE guild is now on the Goblin server.
Also, keep October 10th free as that’s the launch of patch 4.1 and the new housing area as well as all the other content, but seriously, housing, that’s what I’m talking about, amirte?
Also in 4.1 we get this expansion’s first alliance raid so that’ll give people an easy place to get gear and a good FFN activity. That’ll at least be a simple, easier introduction to larger group content for folks who might be intimidated by the other raid/dungeon content.

Captain Cybyl’s Star Trek Online News Summary for week ending 10/01/2017:
Celebrating Star Trek: The Next Generation’s 30th birthday, STO is offering free uniforms and shuttlecraft. Yes, the adorable, unisex Skant skirtsuit is available for ALL factions AND genders! Also a Type 7 shuttlecraft will be concurrently released as well. Better hurry, as this free promotion ends October 5th! The STO website has the shuttle specs and fashions on display.
As a tribute to the new Star Trek: Discovery series on CBS, STO is giving away free Discovery uniforms for Federation captains only. They are one handsome uniform for the right price: free! Better hurry, as this promotion ends October 6th! The STO website has the fashions on display.
Additional ‘Beyond the Nexus’ related missions, ‘Dranuur Gauntlet’ and ’Melting Pot’, were released to introduce players to the new Lukari-Kentari Dranuur colony world. These missions will also familiarise fleet members with the new fleet starbase. STO website has the details
The original ‘Beyond the Nexus’ mission, released September 12th, will be unlocking week 2 and 3 replay rewards. This completes the trilithium-laced weaponry set and universal tech upgrade tokens. STO website has the details
The Kobayashi Maru Event returns this weekend. This is the famous Starfleet Academy no-win training scenario that cadet James T. Kirk hacked to win. Test your captain skills attempting to beat the event and win bonus marks and dilithium. And with that, let’s get back to US and find out what we have been up to!
GAME NEWS
Tetsemi: So many alts, still have 9 of the 12 class order hall and mount story lines done, the remaining 3 (Priest, Monk, Demon Hunter) are parked at 102 for the moment while I get the other 9 through the Argus content. I have my main working on the Upgrade 6 followers to 950 item level, and 6 working on the Upgrade 6 followers to 925 item level. Still need to get my Shaman and Druid through the Argus campaign, although the Shaman is half-way through chapter 2 and feeling very very squishy.
Also have been playing the latest Minecraft version with the Hordling in Survival mode, me made it through the first couple of day/night cycles without starving and now are working on trying to find more resources. Finally found sheep before all the wolves in the area ate them, and got just enough wool for two beds so we can skip the night cycle when needed. Also the Hordling found a mob spawner that we managed to disable and secure the surrounding area. We’ll probably turn it into an exp/material farm shortly, but need to work on making a better route to get to it.
Mkallah: Getting ready for Fanfest, all the games with dice, new class at work so focused there
Mewkow: Destiny, Divinity, De Final De Fantasy, and De Wow.
