Welcome to episode #294 of the the podcast celebrating the Alea Iacta Est gaming community, the die has been podcast. This is Mkallah: To my left is Tetsemi: – (catch phrase here). And to my right is Mewkow: (catch phrase here). This week we are joined by special guests Abovan who is here to talk to us about AIE in FFXIV Welcome!

Tetsemi: Blame Shojobeat for this, 100%, I got all my WoW Professions to 800. If you have a raid team member that supplies cauldrons or potions of power for the raid team, do them a huge favor and send them Legion herbs each week. I knew Ben the Mage and Saisri were spending a bunch on this, but good lord, Alchemy is the worst for material costs. Also, when the WQ for Bacon is up, make sure you do it and send to your feast provider, fish is cheap, bacon is not.

AIE News

Imperium Ludi

Just a reminder for folks looking for AIE in other games, there are some folks active in The Division, check out the thread in our forums! – http://forum.myextralife.com/topic/57017-the-division/page-2

In ESO news, the next season of crown crates, the Scalecaller crate, is coming out March 15th. Your last chance to buy the current crate, the Flame Atronach, is on March 14th, so get them while you can. Also, if you hurry and log in today and kill at least one monster deserving of such a fate, you can get 1 free crate from the upcoming season.

NOMADS

Just a reminder that there is a new season in Diablo III so jump into the AIE Community in Diablo III and start rocking that seasonal character for rewards and profits. And don’t forget, any Paragon levels you achieve during the season are added to all your non-seasonal characters at the end of the season, so don’t just stop when you hit 70, keep going and benefit all your characters.

April Fools is coming up, and DOA is hosting a huge April Fools by taking extra guild members until we hit raid size cap. Message Syrene in game or on Discord for more info!

Don’t forget the Fools Rush in Challenge that GustyTail has issued to the community and now has extended to the first week of April, play a character class that you’re least familiar with, team up with friends, and go do dungeons and LFR!

Patch 5.8, Command Authority, which was supposed to launch this Tuesday, has been pushed back a week to March 20th. This will bring with it the final boss Izax, the Destroyer. If you defeat it on the hardest difficulty, you will get a new achievement, a special and unique title, and a ‘very enticing’ legacy-based reward.

Speaking of patch 5.8, it also bring in the new Conquest update as laid out in the forums post here http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=9549316#edit9549316 the biggest shift, is going to be how your Stronghold bonus is determined. No longer do you have to fill the stronghold with chairs to get 100% bonus, you just need to unlock all the room in a stronghold for it to count towards the Stronghold bonus. I think Max is going to have an un-chair-ing in some of his strongholds.

Mandatory Fun Night, where attendance is optional, but Fun is mandatory! Come hear Max’s tales of how the Imperial Explosive Conflict storyline goes on March 13th on the Imperial Side (of course) and then on March 20th, join us on the Republic Side for Tales from Karagga’s Palace!

Into the beach event is currently going on. Completing the event 14 times get you a special ship console.

Lifetime subscription sale is going on now until early April. $100 off of the lifetime subscription.

Fleet holdings are making good progress. The K-13 station is closing in on unlocking tier 1, while we are closing in on finishing the final stage for the fleet research lab.

EVE

No major news, move ops should be over, things are getting back to normal. As normal as having a Russian bear as your friend is.

Also, As a followup to last weeks show, the folks in Eve have started a mentoring program and are taking new pilots under their wings and showing them how to force an enemy infrastructure to go into reinforce mode so it can be destroyed afterwords! 3 enemy bases were attacked and a good time was had by all!

GW2

Season 4 Episode 2, “A Bug in the System” was released. New map and new story chapter, can’t say much more that isn’t slightly spoiler-y. Oh and new Legendary Dagger, the Claw of the Khan-Ur, an item of great lore importance to the charr, and pretty cool.

And with that, let’s get back to Abovan and find out what’s going on in FFXIV.

GAME NEWS

Patch 4.2

Been out for awhile now

Added new story content, continuing the Stormblood story, which is getting crazier by the patch.

New 8-players raid, Deltascape. FF6 Style bosses with a Kefka boss at the end.

Story and Savage modes available.

2 New Dungeons

For the fashionistas out there, the new weekly quest, Fashion Report is now available.

Get “judged” by an NPC at the Gold Saucer for rewards, based on a theme.

Submarines added, for the FC to build as a group to send out on missions, similar to the airships.

“The Ralff” airship has been completed and has been running missions for us to get unique crafting materials, eventually will level up far enough to allow items needed to craft up FC buffs.

Elemental Resistance is removed from the game! Rejoice!

Stackable items go from 99 to 999 per stack! Your bags, sacks I mean, will cry of not being overloaded again!

Chocobo saddle bags available! It’s like a bank that you can access in non-combat, non-instances areas. Your sacks will cry again in joy!

Duty recorder! Record your dungeon runs in-game! Play back from your vantage point or other players or NPCs. Store up to 3 dungeon runs.

Glamour Commode! Thanks to better a translator team than google translate, we have instead Glamour Dresser!

Lets us store gear for cosmetic and glamour purposes.

Can store sets of glamour.
