Welcome to episode #296 of the the podcast celebrating the Alea Iacta Est gaming community, the die has been podcast. This is Mkallah: To my left is Mewkow: – (Greetings, Gamers!). And to my right is Tetsemi: (catch phrase here). This week we are joined by special guests Durus and Dankinia who is here to talk to us about AIE in ESO Welcome!
Ok, we’ll be digging into ESO shortly, but first, let’s cover this week’s news…

Save the date – 10 pm to 11 pm server time, on April 28th, we are celebrating Volunteer Guard Day and we’ll be gathering in Orgrimmar to step into the shoes of a guard with a /salute and you’ll get to serve and protect the city just like them. Stay vigilant and watch out for any invaders. Pay attention to the AIE Discord #WoW and #General channels as well as the guild site for event times. There is reported to be a pet give away…. And other stuff.
Also, have you ever wanted to give someone some WoW Gametime, a little money for some Hearthstone cards, or just enough for them to buy Deckard Cain in Heroes of the storm but are just too busy to leave your house and hit the nearest shop for a game time card? The new God of War is out, and stealing a lot of people’s time and energy. AIE Has a PS4 Community, so if you’re interested in joining just search for AIE and ask for an invite.
WoW
Ready Check Noise/Ham Horn – There are 17 Raid lockouts till Battle for Azeroth! Time to cross off all those bucket list items, get your Allied races leveled, plan for your Orc’s new posture thanks to the chiropractor, I mean barbershop, and drool over the sweet new hair styles with exclusive ‘glowy bits’ coming to the Alliance side allied races! (Boo!) But hey, we got the best Antlers in the house (Moo!)
The Battle for Lorderan is testable on the Alpha server (no voice overs or major spoiler cutscene available, yet) and shows what happens after the intro cinematic showing the two armies starting the battle. No word yet on Malfurion’s fumble fingers that started the fire in Teldrassil, but we’ll let you know when it’s available as well.
If you are leveling an allied race and don’t want to leave Pandaria at 90, good news, the XP from quests, gathering, and mob kills stays decent up to level 94, so no need to rush to Alternate Timeline Draenor, hang out in Pandaria, do the intro quest to Warlords, start your garrison, and you can head right over to Taledor without needing to deal with Frostfire or Gorgrond.

SWTOR
Check out the great article that the SWTOR team put toger on the AIE guild hunt for Izax – https://aie-guild.org/blog/2018/04/aie-swtor-and-the-hunt-for-izax/ We have almost 100% of the active raid teams with a kill on the final boss from GftM (Gods from the Machine) and in two weeks patch 5.9 will drop bringing even more Conquest adjustments as well as new content.
Mandatory fun night is on the Imperial Side and we will be tackling the Emergency Operations. Any Operation from Eternity Vault up to Dread Palace is a conquest goal, so make sure to attend, help yourself and the guild get to their Conquest goals.

New things coming in patch 4.3: MSQ, more 24-man Return to Ivalice raids, new trials, 4 Lords (other trials), Ultimate Weapon’s Refrain, new Beast Tribes, more Hildabrand, Heaven-on-High (the new POTD), Eureka updates if that is your thing, and the mysterious “Additional Updates”
Oh, and a new dungeon
Late May is the tentative date.
One of the additional update is the raid roulette, 8-player group finder in other words.

Goblin is still a preferred server, so new toons will get a road to 60 buff, up the level cap of Heavensward, the last xpack) which gives you 3X experience on all gains.
You can easily run your first class up to 60 on Main Story Questline exclusively. (Class and Job quests are still recommended to unlock skills, however)
STO
Research lab has fully completed upgraded. Be sure to visit it to buy your extra traits and research slots.
They are opening up the ability to create Delta Recruit captains again. You have until May 17th to create one. As you level up a Delta Recruit, you unlock bonuses for all your captains no matter the faction.
The next expansion, Victory is Life, is slated for June. The level cap will increase to 65. The story will be another step forward in the Deep Space 9 section of the Star Trek story. And as always, if possible, they always try to bring back the actors to voice their in game avatars. They are featuring episodes leading up to the release that start some of the pre-expansion lore.
People collecting ships, do not panic, T6 ships will stay as the top tier of ships. Though I would bet we will see stronger ships as time goes on. They do tend to slowly creep up the power of the ships as they release new ones.
EVE
After refusing to bend to (absent) Russian Overlords, AIEU moved to Chinese Pandemonium. Kind of clear to state that gaming there is totally different from playing on occidental servers.
LOTRO

Monday fun nights are still a thing. They are like office hours…sometimes the line is around the corner, sometimes you get paperwork done.
There has been a change to how bonused gathering tools work. The bonus is now extractable and applyable to any gathering tool, even the consumable ones. A really nice QOL boost.
ESO
Anniversary event is ending on Monday. After that, the cake will be a lie.
ESO Plus will be free from 24-30 April. Current subs will get a free crown crate each day.
