Welcome to episode #319 of the the podcast celebrating you, the Alea Iacta Est gaming community, the die has been podcast. This is Mkallah: To my left is Mewkow: – (catch phrase here). And to my right is Tetsemi: (catch phrase here). This week we are talking among ourselves and catching you up on what is going on in AIE! Welcome to my esteemed co-hosts!!!
We will be chatting about what we have been up to, but first, the news!
AIE News
We had an all officer meeting over the weekend and do that periodically, on top of meetings more often in individual game divisions. Blizzcon planning for meetups was a key point of discussion and the posts in #events outline the current plan.
We are also working on some minor updates around the guild websites and other communication tools, so keep an eye out for that.
The various streams and podcasts for AIE are a really great way to see what’s going on and engage. We are always looking for more AIE streams, blogs, etc to get posted to the content creators channel and really like seeing that stuff there.
Just a note, the AIE Meetup is no longer active. The sites wasn’t being utilized and as a group our size required a monthly fee, it has been shut down. Please feel free to utilize the events channel in discord for real life gatherings.

Nothing earth shattering for The Division 2.
Diablo 3’s Season 16 is winding down; ending on 12 May.
Growing interest in CoH and that we’ll be holding off on getting too involved until the details around servers, services and the position of the IP holders settles down.
WoW
Blizzcon: We are wondering who is going and will be using that as input for what kinds of meetups might be planned for AIE.
In-game: Syreyne will be starting an Alliance raid team towards the end of May and anyone interested should ping her in the raid recruitment channel on discord.
SWTOR
Next monthly event is next weekend, Saturday at 9 pm EDT I believe on the Republic side. Fun with World Bosses.
The Wednesday night Imperial ops team is looking for a permanent DPS addition to the team. Anyone interested should contact Maellung in the SWTOR Discord channel.
STO/strong>
The Tier 6 ship item from above and the riposte event are still going on, see details in discord.
The fleet spire is constructing tier 2 upgrade and will complete in just over 6 days. This will unlock the fleet variants of the veteran ships.
Also, Star Trek Online is free to play and we have MFNs most Sunday nights at 8:30 PM Eastern. In an upcoming week, for MFN, we will focus on low level characters to help new players go through missions and story. You just need to finish the tutorial missions
There are also close to releasing a new rep, Discovery Legends.

The anniversary event ends this week after 5 fun fill weeks of cake. Early access to Elsweyr begins on May 20th and official release is June 4th. Please save the beginning quest for that zone on at least one toon until the the first MFN after the official launch because our MFN that night will be starring that zone together. Until then MFN’s will be zone clears and dungeon runs every Friday night at 9pm EST.
EVE
War continues and the merge of some global factions into the mix has made things interesting. The corp is always looking for new pilots and spies. It’s a bit of a dive down the rabbit hole but the team there is always happy to support everyone.
GW2
Lots of people working on alts at the moment. MFN groups still get together on Mondays on occasion. Check in with Dejara to get something going. Also check the Discord channel pins for a new reference post that does a good job of laying out the open world changes that have occurred over time.
FFXIV
The callback campaign is on. Have someone from the FC or someone on your friend’s list send you an in-game invite back to the game. Doing so will get you reward for both of you!
April 25-June 3rd.
The invited player must have an expired sub for 90 days and still have their account in good standing (i.e. not be banned).
The invited player will get 7 days of free game time, 99 Aetheryte tickets (free teleports, 1 per ticket), and 10 silver chocobo feathers which can be turned in for gear to get caught back up.
The inviter will get 10 gold chocobo feathers, which can be used to buy items like the Twintania mount, 2 person chocobo mount, rare dyes, or Aetheryte tickets of your own.
The FFXIV x FFXV crossover event is still going until May 27th.
If you complete this level 50 event, you can then purchase cosmetic items, such as the Regalia, the game only 4 person mount, currently.
The mount costs 200,000 Manderville Gold Saucer (MGP) points. To assist, the Free Company will be running the FC buff, “Jackpot 2” on Saturday and Sunday during the event. This will provide a bonus of all MGP rewards.
Various ways of getting MGP have been discussed in the #ffxiv channel in discord, so drop on by if you want some ideas on farming them up. With the current rewards and the buff, many players have been able to get enough MGP in 1-2 weeks of time.
If you are on the starter edition, including the Twitch Prime promotion, Square Enix is providing Heavenward for free until June 27th. Once this is added to your account, you get to keep it permanently. This includes the PC version, MacOS, and PS4 editions.

Heavensward is the continuing story of the game to the kingdom of Ishgard, where the Warrior of Light is thrusted into the Dragonsong War and awesome music. This will include all content in the expansion, including patch 3.5, The Far End of Fate which sets the stage for Stormblood.
Shadowbringers is still slated for release on July 2nd, with pre-order getting a head start starting on June 28th. If you pre-order this expansion, you get access to all previous expansions on the head start date.
The FC vault still has some goodies. If you need something from there, grab it! We are trying to populate it with some cosmetics and some other helpful items. Feel free to grab something that strikes your fancy! The Vault is available in all major cities and the FC house.
The Shadowbringers Media Tour will be hitting mid May. We are expecting to get some details on the new classes of Gunbreaker and Dancer classes at this time.
