Season of the Chosen is live, in week number 2.

AIE is raiding on PC current content: Deep Stone Crypts.

WoW

Patch 9.0.5 and patch 9.1 content information were the major focus of BlizzConline for Warcraft.

Flying will be available just by progressing through the new covenant story and you will get a covenant themed mount as well. Ground mounts will no longer shiver with fear and will be able to be summoned in the Maw. Also, as part of the covenant story line, a new covenant themed armor set will be rewarded.

A new landmass that will be our foothold in the Maw will be uncovered, named Korthia, and what secrets of the First Ones does it hold?

A new 10-boss raid, the Sanctum of Dominion, will launch with the true Eye of the Jailer, the Tarragrue, Kel’Thuzad, and Sylvanas as raid bosses.

A new 8-boss MegaDungeon, Tazavesh the Veiled Market, will also be available at Mythic 0 difficulty during launch. And yes, it involves a bank heist, so Oceans 11 meets the Brokers? I’m in.

Torghast gets new layers and a new wing with new enemies and traps.

WoW Classic

Raiding in Classic continues with the United Orgrimmar team who are active each week.

During BlizzConline The Burning Crusade Classic was announced and it’ll come with the option to move forward to TBC, stay with Classic, or with a paid service, per character, keep a character in each type of server. We are just beginning to discuss how the AIE guild and UO will proceed, so keep an eye on #wow-classic channel on Discord.

SWTOR

It’s been a quiet week in SWTOR, with guildies recovering from Total Galactic War and spending some time on their Imperial Characters after going all out on the pub side in the previous week.

Patch 6.2.1, which was scheduled to be released last Tuesday, was delayed when Austin’s Bioware Studio was impacted by the calamitous weather events in Texas. There is no new date announced yet. Stay tuned.

Come join in for Mandatory Fun Night on Tuesdays. We alternate between Republic and Imperial sides each week. There are no gear or experience requirements, however, some activities do require a character level of 70. We will always let you know when this is the case. Even if you are just starting out, come join us in discord and listen to “Story time with Max”.

We’ve had several new members join and we’ve been helping them with training gear, leveling, and Skyshard farming during our MFN nights

We’ve focused on clearing zones of Skyshards, defeating World Bosses, and rampaging though public dungeons the last couple of MFNs

The Tribunal celebration in-game event starts on February 25 and runs until March 9th. As with prior in-game events, we will be focused on doing the daily dungeon and world boss quests as well as the public dungeons in Vvardenfell and Clockwork City for our MFNs during this time period to help guild members get as many of the rewards a possible.

The first DLC for the Gates of Oblivion year long event comes out on March 8th for PC/Mac and march 16th for consoles. The DLC is titled Flames of Ambition and will have two new dungeons. There will be a full reset of skill points and champion points when Update 29 drops, people may want to prepare for that.

GAME NEWS

FFXIV has a free login campaign going until March 31st. So if your account has lapsed, come on back and join us for Map Nights and more!

On top of that, if anything we talk about today sounds interesting, FFXIV has an amazing free trial. You get all of the base game AND the Heavensward expansion. This is a ton of content, and it includes one of the best expansions and story lines in Final Fantasy, so do come check it out!

Patch 5.5

FFXIV Patch 5.5 Part 1 is releasing April 13th! This will be part 1 of the story leading into the next expansion named Endwalker. Part 2 will come at a later date between now and the release of Endwalker.

The antagonist of this part of the story arc has declared to us he is setting about recreating the Final Days, something as bad as it sounds. It’s an event barely remembered that happened in the distant past, and resulted in everything that has occurred up until now in FFXIV. While his plan has been set into motion with the appearance of ominous glowing towers around the world, we will likely see the fruits of his labor with the release of this patch.

The Nier Automata tie-in raid series will come to a close with the release of the final raid in the series.

Side note, as someone who has no investment in Nier, having never played the game, this story line has turned out to be pretty great. People who loved Nier seem to like it even better, so if you like Nier Automata

The final part of the Sorrows of Werlyt storyline, will be released with 5.5. This has been part of the “Weapons” Trial series, where we have fought the Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald weapon. Next up appears to the Diamond Weapon.

Before Part 2 is released, we’ll also get the next step in the “Save the Queen” content, which is both excellent story content and the way to work towards this expansion’s relic weapon. Come join me in saving the homeland of the Hrothgar!

Endwalker

Despite having the word “end” in the title and some rumors going around, Endwalkers is NOT the last expansion of FFXIV, but the conclusion of the storyline that started in A Realm Reborn (and in 1.0 somewhat)

Usually FFXIV has an expansion quest line that has a satisfying ending, but has loose ends that are tied up in the .3 patch series, where 4 and 5 transition to the next expansion. Shadowbringers followed this formula as well. Endwalker will be unique however, in which the entire storyline will wrap up with the expansion itself. 6.1 will then start the next story arc.

The main story quest writer from Shadowbringers, “Natsuko Ishikawa”, is writing the story for Endwalkers as well. Every piece of content she has written has been great, and she always manages to top it, so I’m personally very excited.

We’ll be journeying to a lot of places that have been mentioned since A Realm Reborn but that we’ve never had the chance to visit, including the moon! While the moon may look similar to our moon, it’s actually the remains of a defeated god…so we’ll see how that goes.

The expansion will include two new jobs, a healer job named the Sage, and an unknown melee DPS job.

Sage is going to be “a Barrier” healer using Nouliths, a series of magical “things” that you control with your magic. If you’ve never wanted to be a healer because they weren’t stylish or cool enough, definitely give Sage a look!

Yoshida provided a very vague hint on the melee dps job, and the consensus of the rumour mill is that it’ll employ a scythe. Beyond that, we’re not sure. Some even speculated a Corsair job, like some kind
