Welcome to episode #402 of the podcast celebrating you, the Alea Iacta Est gaming community, the die has been podcast. This is Mewkow: To my left is Tetsemi: – (catch phrase here). Community

We are happy to announce we’ve asked two new officers to help within the community and they have accepted. @Rintalasin and @Kraemer29 have been members of the community for a while now and are always willing to help out with events, answer questions, and be a positive influence on the community. Rintalasin can generally be found hanging out in WoW (both Alliance and Horde sides) and Kraemer spends time in ESO (where he runs a ToT tournament every few months), STO, and SWTOR. Thanks to you both for agreeing to join and help out!

NOMADS

The Week of One Shots is off to a strong start. Whimsy of Fate with Lithou in the Fate Accelerated system (not D&D) was so much fun the players want a second session. We need more adventures with Atomic Rhino Crippler and Fergie McIntire, the “French” chef who may or may not be a dragon.

In Barber of Silverymoon with Catavarie, they rescued captives, defeated evils, and watched a Paladin work out some aggression on a defenseless machine. The DM regrets only that no players died, even to the Mimic disguised as a wig.

Sunday’s SCP Containment Breach with Duskmire had to be canceled due to a drop out but will be run again next Sunday, with more players needed. We also need players for Wednesday and Friday (two sessions). Saturday is full, because who can resist a session called Grammy’s Country Apple Pie? Mmm Pie

WoW

In WoW news, congratulations to Alliance Raid Team So Let’s Go Skating on their Ahead of the Curve achievement for killing Heroic Raza-geth. Players are getting ready for the next big content patch, Embers of Neltharion coming on May 2, with a new underground zone to explore. New Raid Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible (where we get to meet an echo of Neltharion) opens the week of May 8. We also have Volunteer Guard Day, a micro holiday, on Friday. Defend Stormwind or Orgrimmar to obtain the temporary appearance of a guard.

Oh and let’s not forget that Cross Faction Guilds will be a thing in the new patch! Please welcome any unfamiliar faces and races you see in Guild chat. However, the way Greenwall works will limit the ability to see cross-faction Guild chat. Tets?

WoW Classic

We are still raiding Ulduar, with a few bumps and struggles with the roster. We are always looking for a few extra people who would like to raid with us, as we roll on through the content. We raid on Saturday nights, from 9-1 server time, and sometimes on Friday nights as well. Friday night is from 11-1. If you have any questions, please DM Looci in discord, and she will give you any info she has!

SWTOR

One of the rewards from the new Galactic Seasons is the Stronghold on Mek-sha (Max’s favorite zone), now known as the Mek-Shack. Or Max-Shack? Mek-Max-Shack?

MFN continues to thrive on Tuesday nights, but we also have pvp on Wednesday nights and Space Ship Pew Pew on Friday nights. Our Monday night raid teams are looking to fill some slots, so if you always wanted to get into group content, this is a great opportunity. To join any of these activities, drop a note in discord for more details.

ESO

Greeting fellow AIE family members we are now opening up sign ups for our Tales of Tribute 3 tournament. The tournament will start on Monday June 16th 2023. In order to sign up for the tournament please let Kraemer know in the tales of tribute channel or by DM in discord. The tournament will run for four weeks with a short break for the fourth of July week. As with the previous 2 tournaments you will need to have the high isle chapter and having completed the start quest for tales of tribute. If you need help finding the starter quest we can help with that. Also Dankinia will distribute the winnings to all the top 10 placers. If there are any questions just ask away and Best of luck to all our card players out there.

We are working on trials on MFN nights, have a vet dungeon group on Wednesdays, and we are starting a normal pledge dungeon group on Sunday nights.

FFXIV

Caztiel Winchester will be holding an FC (or AIE players who want to DC/CW travel) event running the second Stormblood alliance raid this Thursday. Sahja is still holding her weekly Friday fun events and Saturdays are still Endwalker map nights. Starting Monday April 24th at 1am PT, the moogle treasure trove event begins, and continues until patch 6.4. Expect a lot of activity grinding specific dungeons to earn the new moogle tomes, especially the Nier Automata raids as they are the chosen alliance raid this time around. The Alexander raid series is the chosen ‘normal’ raid series, and the Weapon(emerald, ruby, diamond) series is the chosen extreme raid series.

STO

The Fleet is closing in on its final upgrade. This will give everyone access to a new Science Ship that’s pretty special. After that, we intend to focus as much as we can on the KDF Fleet.

STO is currently running it’s First Contact Day event. This rewards a new universal console that is a 2-piece set with one of the new fighters from the latest Legendary Bundle.

Fleet Action Report is switching to Thursdays at 10pm Eastern. Fun night will be moving to Mondays at 10pm Eastern. This change will help FAR better serve the community by being able to catch updates and content releases when they happen. These changes start this Thursday.

LOTRO

Lotro has turned 16 and is currently celebrating with the Anniversary event through May 14th. If you need help running the scroll quests let us know in discord and we can find a time to get a group together.

GAME NEWS

The next chapter for ESO is called Necrom and arrives on June 5th for PC/Mac and June 20 for consoles. It is part of the Shadow of Morrowind Saga and will bring two new zones and a new class to the game. The new class, called the Arcanist, has a new combat mechanic which involves using class abilities to generate a resource that allows you to empower your abilities. As all classes in ESO, you can choose any of the three roles (Tank, Healer, DPS) as well as swap between them fairly easily.
