Destiny 2 – New expansion launched, new activities, new weapons. It is the conclusion of what Bungie is calling the light and dark saga where we fight the big bad from the last 10 years. They did some new really neat stuff like a 12 player activity that unlocked when the new raid had been completed by a team. Overall it has been getting very positive reviews.

WoW

oob Raid cleared up to final boss Sarkareth in Aberrus on Saturday night and in coming weeks will be working on getting people the Awakened Raid achievement. Defeating all bosses in Vault of the Incarnates, Aberrus and Amirdrassil on Normal difficulty awards the Voyaging Wilderling Mount. Planning has begun for AIE’s Summer of Love event, which will run July 27 (26?) through August 2nd (Remembrance Day). In WoW, we’ll have a Lore Night and a WoW Trivia night, as well as pet and toy giveaways.

The next expansion, The War Within has a launch date of Aug 26 – with early access Aug 22 for people who pre-purchased the Epic Edition. Beta access has opened and there are spoilers out there. Please respect others by not discussing big revelations in Guild chat or Discord (unless it’s hidden). Meanwhile players are busy finishing up achievements and leveling alts – many of them in Pandaria Remix. It’s a wicked good time!

We’ll also have a new playable dwarf race, The Earthen, in War Within. It seems only fair that they should be unlocked on Day One for Earthen Ring server, right?

WoW Classic

Our Stale-Puft Marshmallow raid team has had one raid night so far, in which we came 10% away from full clearing normal Blackwing Descent 10m, off to a strong start!

The only Cata news of note is Blizzard recently changed valor to be a rolling seasonal cap, like how conquest points already worked, so we’re all very excited about that, especially for upcoming alts

Season of Discovery has lots of news about upcoming season 4, reaching the level cap of 60 at last

Sounds like some really cool stuff, like new tier sets for every spec, 3 difficulty levels for Molten Core, and of course many new rune abilities

FFXIV

Less than 2 weeks, June 28th, until early access for the new expac drops! Last live letter aired last night, the VOD is on their page I believe. Lots of fun new zones and new gear sets revealed.

SWTOR

In Swtor, we are still feeling our way through 7.5. There is a lot to do and the only deadline is that the Spring Festival will be ending June 25. There is still time to catch up on that. In the meantime, there is no limit to when you can do the main story or the new Venture system. The Venture will eventually earn you a gun-faced dog companion. He’s adorable.

We do our MFN on Tuesday night, have a fun PvP night on most Wednesdays, and do a variety of things on Friday nights. Come join in the discussion in the swtor channel if you want to hear what cicadas sound like or see a robot restaurant server deployed in the Chicago area.

We got our first look at update 41 on Bullroarer this past week, in which monster play is getting some love. We are expecting Bullroarer to open up for this week so we can take a look at the new hobby (hopefully). Lotro summer sales continues with some great stuff on sale every week for the next couple weeks. This week is a sale on carry-alls. We are excited to get some exciting teasers from Executive Producer Severlin from a couple of shows he has been on. Some exciting things that have already been teased and waiting for more information on them.

And with that, let’s get back to Dankinia and find out what’s going on in ESO.

GAME NEWS

The new expansion, Gold Road, came out on June 3 for PC and brought with it a new zone and storyline as well as a new system called Scribing that lets you customize your skills and abilities. There is a questline to unlock it and then daily quests that can be done to acquire materials. For the last few MFN’s we’ve all grouped up to run a short trial or do dailies and then hung out in voice chatting with each other as we worked through the Scribing quests. I foresee more time spent doing dailies in our future to collect all the components needed.

The Zeal of Zenithar event starts on June 20th and runs through July 1st. There will be a daily quest each day that gives you a Sublime Parcel box as a reward and a variety of other activities that reward a Delightful Parcel Box. The boxes contain style pages, crafting materials, and recipes, among other items.

Planning for AIE’s annual Summer of Love event is currently underway. Kraemer is planning a short one-shot D&D game as part of the event. Also Tales of Tribute 6 starts on July 1st and runs to August 4th. There are plenty of spots still open so let Kraemer know in Discord if you’d like to join in the fun.
