After a long holiday layoff we shake off the ring rust and get down to it with a long-overdue sit down with Bryan Bray. He's the compositional psychonaut behind the wildly ambitious Gates along with many other great projects. Take a gander down below at the Gates BandCamp, watch this amazing video we talk about at length, and stroll off into the spirit realm, maybe get your weekend started a little early. And remember, sometimes the best revenge is to have a good day anyways.

This week we (and by that I mean me) sit down with multi-faceted doomsayer Ethan McCarthy from Primitive Man/Spiritual Poison/a grillion other amazing projects and talk about softening with age, DIY music, and Xasthur’s 401k. Check out all of Ethan's music, more interviews, and his rad design work on his LinkTree.

Guillaume Cazalet (CZLT) has been forging an unlikely synthesis of mysticism, heavy sound, and a wide-ranging set of musical influences into a heady selbstanschauung. It was a blast to talk with CZLT about Neptunian Maximalism, ayahuasca demons, and creating magick through music. Check out CZLT and all his work at the links below. And, as always, feel free to say hi at [email protected]

On this episode I'm joined by the shining sun of northern English black metal, multi-instrumentalist, occultist, father, and all around nice guy Andy Curtis-Brignell of Caïna. As always thank you for taking the time to listen. Shoot your questions, comments, or concerns directly into the sun but if you want to send me video of your best Stevie Nicks dance do it at [email protected].

What a great conversation with a modern titan of doom metal! A.L.N. and I talk about faith, loss, perception, and Christian metal! Make sure you stop by Mizmor's BandCamp and grab the latest album titled "Prosaic" because it's a certifiable humdinger.

As always, you can reach me at [email protected] if you have comments, questions, or are interested in interviewing for the show.

It's Friday the 13th so what better time to sit down with the wonderfully articulate Campbell James Kneale (Black Boned Angel, Birchville Cat Motel) and talk about Left Hand Path magick, coming to spirituality in times of necessity, and what to do when your soul is waking up. Check out Campbell's music on BandCamp (https://campbellkneale.bandcamp.com/) and pretty much anywhere else you can listen to music. As always, if you've got questions or want to comment on something from an episode we've got an Instagram page (@akashicrecordpodcast) or you can email us at akashicrecordpodcast at gmail!

I thought I'd take a crack at getting folks interested in magic by droning on about it for 12 minutes. I'm sorry for how I breathe. Check out Naturgeist https://naturgeist.bandcamp.com/album/reinvigorated-terror
