ENCHANTED WORD

The Allegory of Moses

Listen Later

Oh, the allegory of Moses

of famed prestige.

Born as a slave.

Raised with the Kings.

Sacrificed! he did

His "status" royal

To remember his brothers

and endure their toil.

Murder! he did

as he was compelled to do

when the stench of oppressor

grew too crude.

Flee! he did

to die in the wild,

to be born a man

with God in his head.

Freedom was not enough

with his brothers in chains.

He shared what they have;

the blood in his veins.

He returned in power

with "let" on his tongue,

to give his brothers

a song to be sung.

If "Pharaoh" did choose

to deny the demand,

He HIT him where it hurt

until he couldn't stand.

CURSE! to the land (money)

CURSE! to the crop (money)

CURSE! to the cow (money)

CURSE! to the river (money)

CURSE! to the body (will)

Brothers, if you will

Choose to get up and leave,

Now is the time

For you, too, to flee.
