Mike Coots, a Hawaii native became an amputee when he lost his right leg in a tiger shark attack at 18 years old while bodyboarding. After successfully fighting it off, Mike finally realized that his right leg was missing. 

One month later he was back in the water, nothing was going to stop his passion for surfing. Since then he has become a shark advocate, using his incredible photography of sharks to spread the word about these amazing animals.

Mike's work has been featured on a multitude of news and entertainment channels and publications including National Geographic and even TMZ.
