The Alpha and the Omega
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” - Revelation 1:8.
Have you ever stopped to feel the weight of that statement? God is saying: “I am the beginning and the end. I am everything. Nothing exists outside of Me.” That shakes us, because it reminds us that our lives aren’t random. They begin and end in God.
Many young people today live only in the middle—not thinking about the beginning, not thinking about the end. Life becomes a rush of school, friends, social media, work, and dreams… and somewhere in that rush, we forget that one day we will face the End. But that end is not a period—it’s a meeting with the One who said: “I am the Alpha and the Omega.”
If Christ is the Alpha, it means He was there at your very first breath. He knows every scar, every mistake, every tear. And if He is the Omega, it means He will also be there at your last breath. You will not leave this life without standing face-to-face with Him. The real question is: will you meet Him as your Savior or as your Judge?
This verse calls us to make a choice. If He is the Alpha and the Omega, it makes no sense to treat Him as just one small part of our routine. He is not some “religious detail” among many other priorities. He is the Almighty, the One who holds the universe together—and He wants to hold your life together too.
Maybe today you feel lost in the middle, stuck in sins that feel stronger than you, trying to fill the emptiness with things that never satisfy. But Jesus, the Alpha and the Omega, is the only One who can give you a new beginning and a glorious ending.
One day, the two Adams will meet in Paradise. Adam, who failed, and Jesus, the second Adam, who overcame. And their embrace will prove that redemption is complete. The question is: will you be there to see it?
Don’t ignore this call. He is the Alpha and the Omega—but today He wants to be your everything. Start with Him now, and your ending will be safe in Him.
