On this episode, we get the opportunity to hear the epitome of The American Dream from Gabriela Silvestre, owner of Salon Du Jour. 

Gabriela was born in Portugal and came to the US when she was just 9 years old. She quickly adjusted to the language, the culture, and life here. After a few jobs in her teenage years, she found her passion for cutting and styling hair. 

Gabriela worked for a salon for a few years and realized she wanted to open her own. Starting with 2 partners and now being the sole owner after 29 years, she’s had quite the journey and it was incredible to hear this story.
