As a former athlete, I know what it's like to believe that if I trained harder, won more races, and reached my goals, the pain from my past would disappear. I thought crossing the finish line would heal my wounded heart. But every time the race ended, the pain was still there.
Championships, trophies, scholarships, records, and recognition can celebrate your talent, but they cannot heal your heart. Many athletes suffer in silence because they believe they have to appear strong. The truth is, God cares about your mental health just as much as He cares about your physical health.
