Welcome back to the show. In our last episode, we laid down the visual grid of what has long been called the "L-Shaped Murders" of 1991. We looked at the lines, the patterns, and the heavy cloud that settled over West Tampa over thirty years ago.

We live in a world where our words can travel faster than ever before. A single sentence spoken in haste or a single decision made without thought can ripple outwards and touch many lives. And so, we're going to take a moment to ground ourselves in scripture and wisdom.

In 1991, three women — Latrenda Marion, Denise Clark, and Faye Wilson — were killed within a five‑block radius in West Tampa.
And somewhere in that same window of time, an unidentified child — who we will honor today as “Jane Doe, the 11‑year‑old baby of Hillsborough” — was lost, forgotten, and later found as a skull in storage.

Jesus asked, "Can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your span of life?" He taught that anxiety is a "pagan" way of living that ignores the reality of a Father who provides.

The "Assignment vs. Attachment" principle teaches us to distinguish between those strategically placed in our lives for a specific season (Assignment) and those we hold onto simply because of history, comfort, or loyalty (Attachment). When an open door appears, the shift often requires traveling light.

That is a heavy burden for a child to carry, and I am so sorry you went through that. It’s a classic, painful "crossroads" moment that no kid should ever be put in. To feel like a single honest word—or a single choice—caused a parent to walk away is a deeply rooted trauma, but it’s important to hear this: It was never your fault. Adults make adult choices. Your father’s decision to walk away and not return was his own, regardless of the circumstances between your parents.
